The Wedding

Saturday afternoon was the big event. Grammy and Neen shopped for the perfect dress for L. They could not have done better. She loved her dress and we called her the "Belle of the Ball". She was so thrilled to have a dress that she could twirl in. After I got ready she said the cutest thing to me, she told me that I looked really pretty and asked if I was a Bell of the Ball too? It made my day.

Christmas with Grandpa and Grandma

On Saturday morning we got up and went over to Grandpa Robert and Grandma Sharan's. They made quite the holiday brunch for us. Grandma Sharan is a great cook and even made home made cinnamon rolls.

Trains and a Rehearsal Dinner

On Friday afternoon we went to the mall and saw this really cool holiday train display. We roamed around the mall for a bit and then headed to the rehearsal dinner. It was so much fun to connect with family. L was thrilled to be reunited with Caroline (L's second cousin). She refused to eat with us as she wanted to be close to Caroline.

L was so excited to see the trains that she would not stand still for a picture

They had these buttons that the kids could push and it would move something on the set
The rehearsal dinner was a really nice event. Cory and L were teaching Caroline how to do hook'em horns. This is thing as Caroline's parents went to a rival school (The Aggies)

Dallas and American Girl

We traveled to Dallas last Thursday for a family wedding. Sarah (Cory's cousin) married Chris on Saturday. On Friday we got up and out early so we could head to American Girl. They only have this in Texas (so we have told Laurelea) I don't know who had more fun? It is really a magical place and we are thrilled that they are only in Texas or we might have a problem :)

Grammy and L decorated a little tree

Then she got to open a gift from Grammy- A Dora Doll House!
 "Is Dora in there?"
Then it was time to go to American Girl!

L was completely enthralled with all the dolls
Trying to get them in front of the tree for a picture :)
 L loved the car seat
They have a salon where your doll can get her hair done. Thankfully Bitty Bitty Bop is bald!

We bought L the car seat. We took it back to the car and then she got to carry it to lunch so Bitty could join us. She carried it all through the mall and back. She would not let us help her.

Bitty even waited with us for Uncle Chris

Snow Day!

Today the DC and Federal government were closed due to snow storm that came in shortly after we got up. We had a few inches by mid-morning and had such a blast playing outside in it. I believe this could have been Cory's first snowman as well as L's.

Making snow angels at the park
Cory was pretty proud. L and I were too, of course.
 sledding
She was not a big fan of the sled. She wanted to be out in it more, exploring.
L loved making snow angels. She probably made at least 20 around the park.

The snowman was very kind and shared his nose with L. She ended up eating the entire thing.
