Farmhouse ICE

We took a quick trip out to the FH on Friday to reacquaint ourselves with our 2nd home.  It'd been over a month since our last visit somehow!

There were several inches of snow frozen solid, which meant some SERIOUS sledding opportunities!  Here's Laurelea going at it:

And again...

And here are some shots of the ice floes down by the bridge -- some of these are 8-10" thick and really wreaked havoc on the bridge.  Looks like they had to pull them from around the bridge and off the road during a flood last week.

This one's probably 6-8' across

It's Official- Laurelea is 3

On Saturday Laurelea turned three. It is really hard to imagine where the time has gone, and how much she has grown and changed over the last three years. We wanted to do something special for her actual day so here is what our day looked like...

We started off the morning with her favorite pancakes and then unveiled the new rug that we got her for her "big girl room". She liked it way more than we anticipated!

I have no idea what she is doing.. but it's funny
 Yoga with Dad
Then we headed off to the Zoo. L was super excited about seeing all the animals.

 Checking out the lions
Then she rode the carousel. She rode the ladybug first

We walked up to see the new baby panda. The wait was crazy so we checked out this panda and checked the box to the baby and moved on :)
Cory and L checking out the new "baby" panda
The new elephant house was cool. L really loved watching them.
Then back to the carousel for a take 2. This time she rode a gorilla
After we got home we did the "big girl bed reveal"
 someone was pretty excited!
