Jack's Good Bye Pool Party

We hosted a good bye party for Jack and his parents, Jen and Jason this morning. Some friends from the Mom's group came over for one last hang out session before they move to Boston. It will not be the same not having them around, but we hope they come to visit lots.
Jack and Jackie are only a couple days apart they had such fun playing together. Laurelea was sleeping during this time.

Out side playing!

Laurelea finally decides to join the party wearing her new swim collection from Grampy :)

Pool time fun!

It was pretty cold so L had to slowly acclimate

Fiona was not a fan of the cold water

Jack on the other hand really loved swimming and could almost float on his back

L loved the pool

Fiona was still not a fan

Jack getting warm in L's towel... his dad was not a fan of the pink. I thought it brought out the color in his eyes :)

Fiona was much happier with her mama

L and I playing right after the party

She is pretty impressed with herself and her ability to grab my hair

These are bibs that Jen and Jack made. The crab one is to remember Jack by and she made a lady bug one for L.

Delayed Post

It is so tough to see that L is doing fun things without me. Cory is setting an expectation Grandma's. We will teach you how to post fun pictures, but it is so tough going through the day without getting an update. This working thing is for the birds. We left our camera at Neen's during our visit to Dallas so we were not able to capture our time with Chong and Jing. Thanks for the pics Chong, and here are some of the pictures from our morning with Jing and Chong.

Rolling Over!

Laurelea didn't waste any time this morning getting down to the business of development. She also ignored each and every one of Misty's pleas to not roll over until she got home. :) I've counted 4 rollovers so far, and now Laurelea either needs to learn to roll back over or crawl or else we're going to have one annoyed baby.

P.S. Bonus points for naming that tune in the background.

First Day Back to Work

Everyone said how tough it is to go back to work..that is an understatement.  I've been a basket case for the last 24 hours plus. It was so hard leaving her. We had a very serious talk yesterday about how she could not do any major developing while I'm away. Low and behold I come home to learn that she can turn on her side all by herself. Cory then went on to tell me that when he went to pick her up from a nap that she was on her stomach. She turned over without me!!! She did give me the biggest smile when I came to see her, but still huge smile and rolling over just don't compare.
Here is a video of her rolling 1/2 way and another one that Cory shot this morning of spending time with L.

Dallas Bound

Laurelea did so well on her first plane ride to Dallas. She is a big fan of planes and loved getting to check everyone out and all the extra feeding time. This is her mode of transportation (which is a good thing considering where our families live :)). We traveled to Dallas for Cory's cousin Alyson's baby shower. We were able to spend some quality time with family and friends as well as attend the shower.
She was not certain of this whole plane ride thing so she had to keep her hands really close.

On our first leg of the trip we were able to have her in between us, which was really nice.

Meeting Grampy and spending time with the family

The only grandparent L had yet to meet was Grampy. She was so excited to finally get to meet him and they really bonded.

Vicki and L at Neen's house. We had dinner with Steve, Susan, Sarah and Alyson the first night that we arrived in Dallas. It was perfect as we were able to put L down in the back room and catch up with the family.
We rented an apartment for our stay. Here are some cute shots of Cory and L spending time in the apartment. We were able to see Jing and Chong this day but unfortunately left the camera at Neen's. They took some pictures so a post of our time with them will come later...

Cory and L bugged by all my picture taking :)
Ha, got a good one!

Spending Time with Grandpa and Grandma

Grandpa Robert and Grandma Sharan came over to visit us on Thursday evening. We had a nice time relaxing and catching up with them.

Casey's Birthday

We were able to spend a night out on the town celebrating Casey's birthday. He rented this painting studio and we got a private painting lesson. It was such a blast catching up with Cory's high school friends.
The crew... Cory, Brad, Casey and Blake. The last time they were all together was at our wedding.

 Notice Cory's interpretation...
Jennipher found her doppelganger.

Alyson's Baby Shower

We celebrated Alyson at the Four Seasons in Irving. It was an incredible venue and such fun to meet her close friends and some of Nick's family.

Aly's theme for her nursery is lambs.
Cup cakes to go which worked out perfectly!
Vicki, Sarah (Cory's cousin), Susan (Cory's Aunt) and me setting up for the shower.
The menu... I had the tilapia, which was delicious.
