Sunday Fun Day

We went on a family walk to Bladensburg Park today. Cory had not been there so L and I had to show him all the cool things to do at the park!
Had to cross several bridges

Sit on the cannon

Learn about the railroad

what there's a train we can explore

this is going to be so much fun when L is a little older.

New Toys!

So excited to be standing and playing!
L and I went to a toy swap this morning in our neighborhood. We found some good steals and she is pretty excited to have some new toys to play with. We figured that she needed something fun and exciting as she is still battling a sickness. It turned into bronchiolitis which is an upper respiratory virus in babies. She has to have a little inhaler which is quite traumatic for us all to get the mask to say on for 2 minutes/4 times per day.

Teeth, Teeth and more Teeth

Our weekend has been spent cuddling with L. She has not had a good night sleep in almost a week and those two front teeth are really bothering her. We've had a low key weekend in hopes that we could all kick this cold and for those silly teeth to pop through. I'm heading to NC for work this evening so we are keeping our fingers crossed that last night was our last rough night.
Here is a good picture of her bottom two teeth

This was the picture she sent to Jason and Karli wishing them a good vacation

Watching the horns yesterday...

L got a new duck tub.

She loves him

Tough Week

We've had a rough week. Little Miss. L is getting her two front teeth. So at daycare this means no naps are needed so we have a super cranky baby on our hands.. we have tried everything this week from
extended bath times, which is tough as she has decided that she no longer needs to be in her blue tub

to eating squash which produces the best stash

to  having lunch with Jack, who just happened to be featured on her new toy- Musical Fishbowl

to Daddy's slumber parties, which helped a little

But the only thing she really, really needed this week is for me to hold her....

Picking Some Apples

We headed out to Homestead Farm to try out luck at apple picking.

Laurelea had on her apple picking wear
She was super fast and we had to watch out for those leaves. They can be pretty tasty.

Yummm

Helping Dad

They have goats!

And Lucy (who was also there)
Our haul... 26 lbs later we headed home. It was so much more fun picking them then trying to figure out what to do with them all.

Game Day Fun

We started off the morning at brunch, which was a load of fun. Before the big game we decided to head to the park to try out the swing.
She had to keep a firm grip on the swing, but overall she liked it

Making sure Dad was still right there

Drinking out of her sippy cup

Playing with Dolly

First slide!

Cory went really fast, and I'm thankful that L did not cry

But the thing she liked about her day was hanging out on the park bench watching all the other kids.

Last day of our vacay

We headed out for a long walk on our last morning at the park. Both girls took a nap as we toured the park. There is a carousel, train ride, play area and nature center
Walking around the park

At the nature center looking at the turtles

Jackie was such a good influence for L showing her how to get around using her feet!

Train ride, we were the first in line and got the best seat

Both girls instantly went for the railing... very nummy

Visitors

Watkins Regional Park is only 25 minutes away from our house, so we had visitors come and check out our camping situation and hang for an afternoon. It was such fun to see everyone out!
