3 Years Old!

You are three! So much has changed in just a short time. You've grown -- overnight -- from a toddler to a little girl. You have an amazing disposition: you can be shy and timid with new people (and ones you haven't seen in a while) and can be a completely crazed kid running around in circles at home. The one thing that will bring you out of your shell in a new situation is a little baby. You absolutely love babies and are thrilled that you will be a big sister this Summer.  Sometimes when you are around people you really admire, you get the cutest googly eye look on your face.  Its as if they are the most famous person ever but they are actually paying attention just to you -- priceless!

You continue to have a strong sympathetic side.  Any kid around you who is having a hard time gets your full attention.  And, your capacity for feelings is ever growing; you have starting talking about people you miss.

Things that you are really into right now are: your Bitty Baby and all things American Girl. Also shovels ("shubbels").  And puh-prises.  People love puh-prises!  You love to (un)dress/change your doll, carry her around, play with her, and have tea parties. You also love to be outside and moving around. You enjoy your ice skating classes and have advanced quickly for your age. You are very coordinated and seem to always excel at new physical activities. You and dad went skiing, and by all reports, you got the Will gene for skiing! Lucky you!

You weigh around 35 pounds, are in a size 3 or 4T, and are somewhere north of 3 feet tall. Your favorite foods are yogurt, chocolate and mayonnaise (in reverse order). You would eat mayonnaise with every meal if we let you!

You have recently transitioned to a really big girl bed -- a twin -- and are loving it along with the tent that Grammy gave you that you sleep in. This year you have conquered the potty and are fully potty trained!

This next year is bound to be filled with so many new adventures and we can't wait to see what all you are up to and how much you grow.

We love you Laurelea,

Mommy and Daddy
