Tour of Utah (This one's for Uncle Chris)

Wouldn't you know it, just a few days after Uncle Chris headed home we were in Utah in the thick of a crazy bike race called the Tour of Utah. Uncle Chris loves to race his bike and follows the sport really closely. It was a 6 day race across Utah, and one of the hardest due to elevation. On Sunday morning on our way back from the Park we saw them setting up and realized that this cool tour would pass directly infront of our rental house. The rest of our day quickly became pretty consumed with this race and we all learned so much about American bike racing. Thanks Uncle Chris for answering all our questions and filling in all the gaps about the sport!

In the morning we headed up to the slopes to check out the summer activities in PC...
 Marty and Laura
Mom and Dad checking it out
 T-Man and Karli
View from the base off the PC ski slope
This is our rental house for the week
The green park was a hit and so close!
 Jason and Talan

The fam getting ready to see the riders...
Here they come. They went by the house twice...
Fast forward 3 hours and 78 miles later the ended the race in down town PC
We had a great spot up on this balcony overlooking the finish- Cory and Jason
Dad, Laura and Marty watched below in the shade.. they had a pretty good spot too

The motorcycles and teams were crazy..
 And then the riders came

 This guy won!

These were the team cars- each rider or team had a car with gear/extra bikes.

We were surprised how small the winner was..
