Day in the life of L with Nana and Papa

L is getting pretty accustomed to being in her house and having family around to entertain her at all times. It's going to be tough on her to transition to day care next week where there is not as much attention on her at all times. Her is an overview of the day in the life of L with Nana and Papa.

It's beauty shop time... L gets to play in the sink which Nana and Papa fix her hair. Today it was pony tails (which of course goes without saying)

Papa is back. L's not seen him since she was just two weeks old. So she took a little longer to warm up to him. After 5 minutes they were fast friends.

We headed to Annapolis to see the sights.

It was a short trip as it was pretty warm out

So we headed to Cantlers

It's our favorite place to take guests and was a hit with Nana and Papa

L loved being out and seeing everyone eat crabs

Back home, Cory taps his first batch of beer... it was great, tasted like beer!

Beating the heat...

With record setting temperatures along the East coast, we've had to been creative in coming up with fun ways to entertain L and ourselves. Our house seems so much smaller when you don't leave for several days... Here are some highlights from the "heat wave"..

We've read tons of books, thanks Nana for the new additions. L loves her new Ocean and Puppies books

Miss Independent

Cory has been gone since Sunday at a conference in Houston. L looks for him every day and is really ready for him to be home. She is starting to act more like herself the last couple of days and getting involved in everything again. Her mood has not been the same since her Daddy has been away. We had no idea that it would affect her like this. She is quite the Daddy's girl.

Trying no bib and towel to see if that helped keep her cleaner... not so successful

She can now wash herself, thank you very much



Eating in the tub is fun for all



She can also get water for herself out of her bottle

Cory and Nana seem to have a better grasp on how to get  food into L's mouth. She and I are still struggling through this... see below!
