Oh Will

We have had quite an eventful week. On my flight home from Seattle I noticed that Will was sounding raspy/junky and so Cory made a doctors apt for him. We were seen on Thursday and told to do breathing treatments for him again. By Saturday he started to spike a fever and on Monday afternoon he started vomiting. As he had been so sick for a few days he really wasn't eating much and we were really concerned that he was dehydrated. We took him to the ER Monday evening.

They tried three times to get an IV in him and were finally successful with his little foot. He also had to have blood drawn, a urine sample take (through a catheter), breathing treatments and was giving an antibiotic through the IV.

At the Holy Cross, the determined that they could not provide the best care for him, so we had to transport him to Children's Hospital in DC. It was his and my first ride in an ambulance.

 Riding on the stretcher
He did not like being strapped in
Here is a picture of his little foot with the IV and the other is for his pulse ox.
We didn't get much rest at all Monday night so he did a good job of napping on us on Tuesday
 Here he is at Children's
We were discharged late Tuesday night. We are feeling so very thankful that our dear friends helped us with Laurelea on Monday, and Grammy flew in to help more on Tuesday. It has been a really nice surprise to have her here and get to celebrate Thanksgiving with her. We had a follow up for Will on Wednesday and he is still not out of the woods. He is on a steroid and breathing treatment, but we are slowly starting to see color come back to his little face and his temperament is improving.

Thanks to all our family and friends for their support throughout this week. We have a lot to be thankful for.
