Christmas Happenings

A few weeks ago, we got together as Mom's and did a toy exchange for Christmas. All the left overs went to a local homeless charity for children. With just 5 families participating we had quite a bit to shop from!

 Laurelea and I went and saw a performance at the local library of the Nutcracker

 Then we headed to Elevation for a girls only dinner

 The Sunshine Christmas party was fun again this year. L's fear of Santa has transitioned to Will and L was not impressed with Santa as she figured out it was Jeffy's Dad- Dan

 Cory went to Chicago over the weekend so we had friends over to play- Will and Grace!

 The kids have been pretty sick so we decided to head to the local coffee shop, grab some hot chocolate and then pick out gifts for the other sibling at Frankins!

We went to the Hyattsville Santa lunch on Saturday morning. It was a fun event and a great chance for the kids to meet Santa without the lines. Laurelea is really into him this year, Will not so much...

Laurelea and I then went to Pump It Up for her friend Olivia's birthday party. She loved it and we booked her party there for this year!

St. Matt's pizza and a movie night

On Friday night we went up to St. Matt's for pizza and a movie. It was an event sponsored by the PTO. We brought Owen with us from Sunshine as he welcomed a baby sister a few weeks ago and we thought this would be fun for him.

 L and I went to the Hyattsville tree lighting after and Will and Cory went home. She was honestly pretty excited to see Santa and connect and run around the park at night.. despite what this pic shows :)

O' Christmas Tree

As is becoming our family tradition we headed to Costco on Friday to pick out our tree. Well you really just roll up in your car and they put one in. We had a lot of fun decorating the tree and were super thrilled with our clutch purchase last year of the shatter proof ornaments!

Gobble Gobble

Grammy joined us for Thanksgiving this year. We were pretty excited that her trip was planned and not resulting from a medical emergency :) Will is still on the fritz with his breathing, but as he is getting older we are getting better about managing it.

Laurelea, Grammy and I made a Flourless Chocolate Cake for dessert. We were all pretty excited about how good it turned out!
