Last Day in Nashville

We headed back to the lake for our last day in Nashville! We just went to the beach so that the kids could swim and run around. We spent the rest of the afternoon by the pool at the house. More pics from our vacation can be found at www.journeytooctober.blogspot.com

It was a fun filled week. We were able to have a few nights out on the town, see the sights and spend some quality time together as a family. A big thanks to Nana and Papa for watching the little's so we could go out!

We had a family celebration for Will! Not everyone is going to be able to make it out for his first birthday so we wanted to celebrate in Nashville.

Grand Ole Opry

It's a thing this Grand Ole Opry. We went on Tuesday to see the ground and ended up booking tickets for Carrie Underwood on Friday night. The music venue is pretty amazing and we were so impressed with the number of artists we were able to see in just a few hours. My favorite was Kristian Bush- he was really animated and fun to watch.

Let's Party- Nashville Style

On Monday of our trip we rented a party barge or pontoon boat. It was one of the best things we did all week. We swam all day, played in the water and watched as Karli caught a turtle (yes you read that correctly). J. Percy Priest Lake was only a mile down the street from our rental house. Huge score for us to have this beautiful lake and water option so close.

 Laurelea and Talan were feeding the ducks and this turtle was also partaking. It got pretty close to L at one point and so Karli just grabbed it.

Nashville Vacay 2015

Every other year we go on a family vacation- this year was Nashville. It was a really good trip and I generally try and organize my pictures in some fashion, but this year we are going by method that they were taken.. Here are some pictures that I took from my phone of the week.

Will drove, well we did 20 hours later we arrived in Nashville :)

 We went to the Grand Old Opry and the Gaylord hotel next door had a river boat cruise. The kids loved the tour!

 On Tuesday night we had a double date night out with Karli and Jason. We went to several clubs, saw lots of good country music. The highlight of the night for me was the roof top dinner and drinks.

 At the Country Music Hall of Fame we saw a puppet show of country music through the ages. It was really helpful for us as we are not the biggest country fans.

 We hit up this distillery in downtown. We only had Will that day as Mom and Dad were watching L and Talan.
