Hyattsville Day= Carlyle Party

We invited our close friends over for a party from the hood. Our house is the perfect spot to watch the fireworks. It was an absolute blast and we could not have asked for better weather! This annual tradition is sticking.

The Carnival is Back

It's a thing, every year the carnival comes to the park behind our house for the anniversary celebration of the city of Hyattsville. L was so excited and we managed to get over to spend way too much money on nothing rides, a few times.

The slide was her favorite. I went with her the first time and then we could not keep her off of it.

Blossoms!

It's a special time of year where the Cherry Blossoms are out. This year we tried the Kenwood hood to see what it was all about. This is a residential neighborhood in MD that you can walk through and see all the trees. We loved the fact that it wasn't as crowded and made for a fun morning stroll. 

 I think if I jump high enough I can touch them!

Laurelea's 1st Ballet Class

Nana and Papa made Laurelea's first ballet class pretty special. She got to go shopping with them and buy the outfit and shoes of her choice. Then then got to go with and watch her first class. Like many things she was pretty tentative at first, but then really warmed up to the idea. Jeffy is in her class and that really made her happy to have a close friend there.

National Arboretum

We took a little trip to the National Arboretum. L was coming down with a fever and we didn't know how sick she was, but she powered through and we enjoyed a beautiful spring day!

A Special Easter

 Nana and Papa arrived the day before Easter, which made this one extra special and look a tad more like Christmas than Easter :)
