On Saturday we co-hosted a 35th birthday celebration for Ben and Cory. They both are 35 within the same few weeks. We had the party on Ben and Nicole's front porch. The weather really cooperated and it was actually cool and overcast. We had about 25 friends show up to help us celebrate these old guys!

Making a wish
Monday, L had her first swimming lesson. It did not go well. She cried through most of the class. It's a child only class and they force the parents to sit behind a fence. We are keeping our fingers crossed for Wed when we go back. This picture was taken before I was told I couldn't take pictures and before the class started.

Making room for Scooter
For the last few months we've been renovating our basement. We converted our basement into an Apt. We needed the extra space for when family come and stay, as we are going to be turning the guest room into Laurelea's and her's into a nursery. It's been quite the undertaking, but it's finally starting to take form. There is still work to be done (fireplace needs to be installed, bedroom furniture added, etc,) Here is a sneak peek at what it looks like:
This is the main room which has the eat in dining room, and living room.
The kitchen
Living room (box looking structure is where the fireplace will go)
Bedroom
Bathroom
Entrance into the Apt
Now we just need to covert the upstairs, and we will be ready for this baby (well space wise that is)

30 Weeks!
They say each pregnancy is different and that couldn't be more true. This little guy has caused us quite a bit of stress over the last few weeks. Two weeks ago I had a full anatomy scan to make certain that our cord was not over my cervix (which would be a bad thing). Thankfully, this is not the case, but there are still some cord attachment issues that they are closely monitoring.
Last week Vicki and Laurelea got to go to another ultra sound appointment with and take a peek at Scooter. He looked directly back and at times looked like hew as waving. L thinks he definitely was, so we won't tell her differently.
Scooter is currently breach (which doesn't really matter as he is coming out C-Section). He is still measuring big, his stomach is huge- 97th percentile. We are scheduled to have the C-Section sometime during the week of Aug 18th. We will know more of a confirmed date in a few weeks once I'm 32 weeks.
Here is a picture of the 4 of us from over the weekend!

Father's Day 2014
We headed out to the farmhouse to celebrate Father's Day. It seems like each year, we find a way to get in a river and celebrate. Laurelea and I got Cory a little inflatable row boat, and we took several trips down the river. We also spent time fishing at the banks in front of our house and enjoying the amazing weather that we had this past weekend.
On the way out to the farmhouse we stopped at the Panorama Restaurant. It is really close to our place and yet, we have never eaten there. We will definitely go back! It was delicious and we loved that the entire restaurant supports local farms. Here is the view from the look out at the restaurant
Cory and LIt's tough these days to get this kiddo to not make a funny face

We tried another new restaurant in Berkeley Springs. They had Oysters so L tried them again
Sipping the juice
She took a few bites of the raw oyster. We were both pretty proud
It wouldn't be a day in Berkeley Springs without a trip to the Springs. L was super brave and got in to the deep spring

Annapolis Bound
On Sunday we went to Annapolis with Neen and Grammy. We had a nice afternoon walking through town, checking out all the sights. We then headed to Cantler's for dinner. Neen had not been there and we had to get her a crab cake and let her check out the docks!
