We are headed out for a week vacation in Austin. We look forward to spending time with family and friends. Here is how L and Cory helped me deflate the blow up bath duck (Quack, Quack).

Mr. Duck Then and Now
Laurelea's first rock in Mr. Duck |
Mr. Duck was given to us during our shower in Seattle from Uncle Marty. Laurelea fist tested him out when she was just two weeks old! It's quite incredible to see how much our little Bee has grown in 8 plus months.

8 plus months later and totally hamming it up |
Plus she can rock with the best of them |

Jackie's 1st Birthday!
L in her party dress |
Jackie turned another year older today and we all had such fun celebrating her first year of life. She has the kindest disposition and her birthday was perfect, celebrated by friends and family.

Boo at the Zoo
Waiting for the train |
Laurelea the cutest ladybug had her first Boo at the Zoo experience as well as her first metro ride. She really liked the metro and getting to meet lots of new friends.
Seeing her first train coming on the opposite platform |
At the Zoo |
It was tough to get her to fit in her stroller with her costume |
So the extra squeeze deserved some tongue |
This year they gave out light up suckers. I was the envy of every child who had not made it to that station... |
L also felt like it was her right to have it |
Play time amidst the endangered species |

She won and got the glow stick (after the candy was all gone) |

Dizzy Giggles
So I'm easily distracted from a super happy Laurelea. I think this video officially makes Cory our chief family videoographer, but I had to share as she was just so cute!

Pumpkin Picking in the Enchanted Forest
The entrance |
We heard about this place from friends and it really was incredible. We can't wait until Laurelea is a little older and can really enjoy all the fun things to do.

Great Falls Park- Columbus Day
We headed out on a holiday hike to Great Falls (MD side) and triumphed over the Billy Goat Trail! We heard lots of folks commenting that they needed to stop complaining "as these ladies have babies on their backs," or "gosh they are brave." Cory and I have done this hike before and were a little surprised at how much longer it took to do the hike. Guess having babies will do that to you, that or deciding to take them on your backs!
