Christmas in DC

It was very different to be away from family this Christmas. Thank goodness for webcams and being able to chat and see our families. We had a house guest, Luna which kept us company through the snowy Christmas day. Here is a compilation of pictures from the day!

34 weeks

I must admit that they said that the last month would be rough, but I'd hoped I'd be the exception and breeze right through it. As you can see I'm not breezing by anything these days. My waddle has been perfected and I can't remember the last time my back was straight. Here is a picture from last weekend. We also did a photo shoot, not a scary one of my belly and me exposed don't worry. Those pictures will hopefully be up in the near future.

WOW

We had our labor and delivery class today as well as a safety infant CPR class. We are a little overwhelmed with all that we need to remember. It's a wonder how people did this before all day classes :)

So we sent this picture out to some of the family and received the same word response from each and every one of them... WOW was the response... guess I am growing! We are 32 weeks (8 months) today. Permission granted for you to think it too!

Tis the season

I know that this blog is to be dedicated to Sprout, but I also wanted to include some holiday shots of our house and tree. For those of you really only interested in Sprout, for the last week she is convinced that she can get out through my kidney. I've told her very nicely that this is not how it works, but she is still convinced this is how she will enter the world. My new saying when people ask me how I am doing is that "I'm large and in-charge". Really I feel just large and that Sprout is in charge, but we are not telling Sprout this as I do need to feel some control over my body.

30 weeks= 7.5 months

We had the realization just the other night that in only 7 weeks we are full term. This brought about both my nervous need to clean and prepare, which has resulted in me washing all of her clothes and a sense of excitement. Folks have been asking for more pictures of my belly so here are a few that we took over the last couple of weeks! Sprout's Nursery

Sprout's nursery is ready for her. Here are some shots of her ladybug themed room and duck bathroom. We are really hoping that she likes pink :)

We decided this would be the easiest way to get new information, pictures, and everything else Sprout!  Keep checking back weekly for the time being and then, once the blog's namesake arrives, we hope to be able to post much more frequently (if she'll let us).
