Dinosaur Valley State Park

We had a fun day at Six Flags yesterday that I'll get to, but I wanted to post some pictures from our time today at Dinosaur Valley State Park- there were actual dinosaur tracks that the kids could see- we ventured on a hike up to a lookout and spent a bit of time splashing about in the river. Laurelea did great hiking and we were impressed with Will too-

Maine

Cory and I took a quick trip to Maine. It was our first kid free vacation since having Bubba. We didn't realize how much we needed it, until we were hiking through naps and having peaceful dinners out... We took our good camera so here are a few of my favorite shots--

Arboretum Fun in the Fall

A few weeks ago we headed to the arboretum to check out the fall exhibit. Mind you it was probably 90 that day and with the humidity it felt over 100, but we still enjoyed seeing the pumpkins, even while wearing swimming suits!

Texas State Fair

It was our first official Fair Day, where they let the kids out of school so that we can take the kids to the State Fair. It was really a fun day. We have a roller coaster fan on our hands! Will was even able to do a few rides. Our family favorite was the log ride!

 since L's entire school district was off- we ran into lots of her friends. Ryan is her closest friend at we were all so excited to see her

 L's class is in the lead for the fun run and she got to do crazy hair day on Friday

 Cory and I went to a Gala a few weeks ago and here is our picture! Had to get boots for the occasion :)
